To Promote

mutual confidence and cooperation among persons engaged in the Marine Industry.

Trade information among members about important issues regarding the Marine Industry.

Any and all legal activities relative to the Marine Industry and to oppose any and all adverse legislation.

the standards of service within the boating industry.

guidance, instructions and general assistance to the boat owner, particularly the newcomer.

marine facilities and to work with other organizations such as the Department of Natural Resources, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the United States Corp of Engineers in providing better and safer boating in Georgia waters.

an interested and informed boating public and promote safety within the boating community.

such lawful acts as may be deemed beneficial to those engaged in any phase of the boating business.

State Lobbying

Representation on Marine Trade and overall boating issues before the Georgia legislature, as well as with State and Federal agencies. The MTAMA staff and the Association's State lobbyist Cindy Sheppard introduce and monitor legislative activities. Government officials are kept apprised of the marine industry's position on various issues prior to the development of laws and regulations. Your membership in MTAMA adds to our legislative clout - the size of our membership has direct impact on our legislative representation.

Boat Shows

Our members receive discounts on show spaces at the Atlanta Boat Show. Often the amount saved is more than the cost of membership.
